UTHRO 2024 Calendar of Annual Activities (Subject to change)
January - Lunch & Learn on January 24 at 11 AM at OCB. Liliana Cracraft will speak on "The Use of Medicinal Herbs in Pre-Hispanic and Traditional Mexican Medicine". February - The Valentine Luncheon will be held at Guadalajara on Wednesday, February 14, from 11:30 AM-2 PM. Guadalajara is at 2925 SW Freeway between Kirby and Buffalo Speedway. Please RSVP to [email protected].

April - We will take a bus trip to Brenham, TX on Tuesday, April 23. We will stop at the Antique Rose Emporium, downtown Brenham for 2 hours of lunch and shopping, and the Blue Bell Creamery for a scoop. Meet at OCB, the bus will leave promptly at 10 AM. RSVP by April 16 to [email protected].
May - Cinco de Mayo luncheon 2024. Join us at the OCB's Rio Grande Room on May 2 from 11 AM to 2 PM for our Cinco de May luncheon. We will also play Loteria. UTHRO will provide tacos and fixings, please bring a side dish or dessert. RSVP by April 27th to [email protected] .
June - Bus trip to Galveston for a Harbor Tour and Dolphin Watch. After the tour we will have lunch on your own. We will leave from OCB at 10 AM on Thursday, June 20. Cost will be $15/person paid in advance to Margaret Zambrano. Please RSVP to [email protected] by June 13.
July - Bus trip to St. Arnolds Brewery on July 18. The bus will leave OCB at 11 AM on July 18. We will have lunch at the brewery from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM. Then at 1:30 PM we will take a 1 1/2 hour tour of the brewery. You must wear closed toe shoes for the tour. Please RSVP to [email protected] by July 11.
August - Bingo for the Endowment. On August 8th, we will meet at the OCB from 11 AM to 2:30 PM to play Bingo to have fun and raise money for our Endowment. Cost will be $10 per person for lunch. Please pay and RSVP by August 5th to [email protected].
September - We will be taking a bus trip to the San Jacinto monument on Thursday, September 19 for a tour and late lunch. The event will cost $10, paid in advance. Please RSVP and pay by September 13 to [email protected].
October - UTHRO's 2024 Health Symposium will be held October 17 from 11 AM-1 PM. There will be a speaker, some information tables, and a light lunch. Also, you can get a flu vaccine (Please arrive at 11 and bring your insurance card). Please RSVP to [email protected] by October 12.
November - Annual Meeting, Holiday Luncheon, UT Police Drive will take place Thursday, November 14 from 11 AM until 1 PM at OCB in the Rio Grande Room. The cost of lunch will be $10 prepaid. Please RSVP by November 7 to [email protected] .
